https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration#Application_configuration According to this link referring to the app_config.xml file, This mechanism allows you to specify scheduling parameters associated with specific applications or app versions. It is available with 7.0.40+ client versions. I have a LinuxMint 14 DE: Cinnamon with AMD GPUs. I downloaded the BOINC Manager 7.0.27 (x86) via the Package Manager. Why isn't version 7.0.40 available via the Package Manager? I think this is the reason Collatz Conjecture project can not see my GPUs. Can Boinc get the 7.0.40 version available via apt-get or the Package Manager, please? ![]() |

The package manager of your distro is maintained by third parties. There is no way that Berkeley, the developers of BOINC or anyone else, but for the maintainer of your distro's package manager can add versions of BOINC. You'll have to ask him or them. |

Are the GPUs recognised when you restart the boinc-client? |
