Hi all, I was just wondering is anyone happens to know whether GPU processing is possible using the BoincLite library? I'm working on a project the will include integrating the library into a custom client and while I'm happy enough with CPU jobs for the moment, being able to include GPU processing as well would be great. Save me writing it myself anyway! :) Thanks |

The BoincLite library isn't maintained; I'm not sure it's currently working, and we won't be developing it. The standard BOINC client is fairly small, and with a bit of work could run within another application. Let me know if you choose this route; I can help with the modifications. -- David Anderson |

Thanks, I may take you up on that. That was my original idea anyway, but when I ran across the library I thought that might be worth a look as well. I just started helping out on this little project: http://www.gridcoin.us/, which is pretty heavily dependent on Boinc obviously. At the moment we're running the Boinc client side by side with ours, but I wouldn't mind looking at options for embedding the Boinc client functionality inside the Gridcoin client itself. I've gotten the Boinc client source anyway, so I'll started having a look through it and deciding which way to go. Thanks! |
