Hi, I already have a nVidia GPU and I am looking for a second, more powerful for BOINC and games. The current situation is that the ATI cards are much better suited for computing compared to the current crop of nVidia.
So I am wondering if somebody have experience in running two different videos on Windows 7 64-bit? It should be possible, but as the machine is not only for BOINC I am wondering if I will have problems with the general use of the machine?
I couldn't find much examples for such configurations so I guess the setup is not very popular. I know that in general this is not a good idea :)
Selling the existing card is not an option.

It's not really a problem, you may need to extend the desktop onto the second GPU for it to be recognised through (if you haven't got a monitor connected),
another tip, install the Nvidia drivers first, the AMD second, i did have validitity problems with one app once (Both drivers at the time installed different versions of OpenCL.dll):
