Hi everyone I was using Boinc 6.10.58 on a Mac Book Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.6 and everything was working perfectly, even CUDA. I updated my system to Mac OS X 10.6.7 and now Boinc tells me that the GPU is missing. I updated the Nvidia Driver (256.01.00f03v7) -> GPU missing. I installed the Boinc program 6.12.19 -> GPU missing. Any solution about this problem ? Best Regards Aeron San |

OK, the developer doesn't know why it won't work on your ssytem, as it does on his without a flaw. So you might try reinstalling the special Mac CUDA driver from http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_get.html as described in http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/GPU_computing#Get_the_latest_driver. The CUDA driver is separate from the NVIDIA driver for the Mac. If that isn't it, it might be that dual-GPU issue as described in http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/GPU_computing#Things_to_be_aware_of |

Hi Ageless Thanx for your answer. I already use gfxCardStatus to select the active GPU and the nVidia GPU is the one selected. I restarted my MPB in 32 or 64 bits to see the difference -> none The nVidia driver is the last one, and the CUDA driver is also the last one. I even installed the 256.01.00f03v7 driver which is design for nVidia Quadro -> no difference. I will try to reinstall from scratch the nVidia driver and the Cuda driver and let you know the issue. Hi again :) Back home with my MBP, started it as usual, and everything is working fine :/ No changes since the problem. The only thing a little bit different is that I started my MBP without my extern monitor plugged-in. I plugged-in it after the boot. This could be the cause of the problem. So, sorry for the inconvenience, but it could be a little annoying bug to fix. Thanx again for your time. Best regards Aeron San |

Are you saying it does work with the extra monitor plugged in (after a reboot), or not? Just to clarify. |
