Hi All

i have come to the opinion that global preferences in there current form have outlived there usefulness.
I have 10 machines so i should like them but if a project corrupts my choices i have 10 machines to correct! I would like to see a way to locking the preferences so a project can not alter the settings. I am sure many remember when prime grid was having there difficulties. well now some other project is corrupting the settings. this is a growing problem as the number of projects grows. I think I am attached to 21 projects at this time. this is more than an annoyance it reduces my contributions to science.

I would like a way to lock preferences.

All I can say is make sure any new project has the preferences set that you use before you attach.....
