is boinc compatible with ati gpu , with stream technologie ?
i have an hd4890 wich has this fonction equivalent to cuida nvidia but anuable to have it work.

Apparently they have apps for ATI cards, as per this FAQ.

Collatz will run on ATI GPUs by just attaching to the project.
Milkyway will for now still need the anonymous platform to do so. Read their Number Crunching forum for more info on that.

The reason that it keeps asking, is in case the project has added GPU support since the last time it asked.
BOINC is designed to "slow down" it's asking after a while, so that it will only re-check once a day.

For a list of the projects that have GPU support, see the second blue link in Jord's post, just before yours. (A little down from the start.)
Or check on the forum of projects in which you're interested.

It's a catch, the project Rossetti does not use the ATI GPU, if one day using these GPUs accelerate the project 50% faster, I guess
