29/01/2009 17:08:36||CUDA device: GeForce 8800 GT (512MB, est. 60GFLOPS) 29/01/2009 17:08:52|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. After having installed 6.6.3 yesterday, everything seem to be more settled now. Admittedly I could not run 6.6.2 for what ever the reason was. I also like two of the more noticeable changes to Boinc, those being; 1. When Boinc reports the CUDA device, not only does it say what card I have (GeForce 8800 GT), but now it displays GPU memory (512MB) & my GPU's estimated processing power (est. 60GFLOPS). 2. I also like the way Boinc reports projects communications, (see above), and when there are no WU's available, it tells you the there are no "job available". 31/01/2009 02:05:54|SETI@home|Reporting 1 completed tasks, not requesting new tasks Okay maybe I was wrong about 6.6.3 being stable. I got 8 new tasks, even though boinv did not request any. 31/01/2009 02:05:54|SETI@home|Reporting 1 completed tasks, not requesting new tasks That sounds more like a bug with the Seti scheduler (ie on their server). If it didn't ask for any work but got some anyway then its not the BOINC clients fault. I'll post a message over at Seti to let them know. MarkJ |

Stable? It has some problems. (Vista 32) I installed it everything ok, tasks running... the messages where ok until I clicked the work tab. And the BOINC screen was... gone, crashed. Did a total deinstall and installed it again same problem. Back to 6.4.5. Lost one project (Einstein) in the process. |
