I'm looking at my performance from Task Manager. I see only 45% usage with Intel onboard, and nothing from my Nvidia card. I'm running Windows 11 and have a Nvidia GeForce RTX 48 GB card. How do I get the big card to take on the work load. My CPU (Intel i5 12500K)is running full bore. What setting might I be missing?

First thing to do is confirm your cc_config.XML in C:\ProgramData\BOINC has the following line in it.

 <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>

After that, I am lost.

Actually, the first thing to do, is to check with the projects you run, that:
1) they have support for your GPU
2) you chose to run the right applications for this GPU
3) that they have work for these applications

Second thing is to check drivers. Maybe Windows in its overzealous desire, installed newer drivers without cuda or opencl support, or your system is waiting for a reboot for these drivers to take on.

The cc_config.xml setting is only used when you have two different models of the same brand GPU in your system, that you both want to use.

The rest of the time, these problems come down to drivers, project support and availability of tasks.

Note that Windows task manager by default does not show the GPU calculation load (this is at least in Win10, I assume Win11 is the same). There are 4 graph panels under Performance tab for GPU. On top left corner there is text what each panel is showing. You have to select Cuda from the list to see crunching load.

Thanks for the info. I'm lost too because I don't have that xml file in that folder you specified. I have the newest BOINC download installed. Windows is up to date and so are my NVidia drivers. I love computers, I love computers, I %^$# hate computers sometimes. lol

Thanks for getting back to me Jord. I guess I have my system set up correctly. Einstein@Home supports this GPU. It is just a very fast GPU so when I get something to work on, it blasts through it and then it is done in no time at all. I watched one of the WU getting worked on, it just goes really quick when I do one.

I run a number for WU's at the same time to push the load up for an A5000/A4500 you can run 4 at once.
