I can't type any words in the dialog (email & password)
the mouse cursor will freeze
It is easy to encounter such a strong situation in windows 10

You had the exact same problem back in November 2020. How did you solve it back then?
Or have you been stuck on a frozen screen since November 16, 2020?

A user in another place has posted this:

BOINC conflicts with Windows' default Chinese input method, Microsoft Pinyin. We can switch the keyboard to US and then everything is fine.
Could you test whether this works for you, please, and let us know?

The same user has added:

I was using Google Pinyin on old devices. I haven't tested if Google Pinyin works.
If you have access to that tool, it may help - but I'm aware that Google services are not accessible in all territories where Pinyin is used.

Not sure why you have sent me a PM on your freezing problem. Better to post here and more people will see it and any answers. Also you should be aware it is over 20 years since I have had a computer of my own with Windows on it so my answers may well be suspect.

Could be because you answered this old thread of his with the same question back in November 2020

You never got any reply though back then, and I doubt we'll see any more posts from him in this thread either.

I guess so. He did give some information about his system in the PM but it is now deleted. Just as on CPDN boards I do not answer queries on pm unless there is a very good reason why it shouldn't be answered in the public domain so i have deleted.
