My GPU fan doesn't spin up to audible except on heavy usage games, serious 3D work, and BOINC. Today, the BOINC screensaver does not show, but instead bounces the logo around the screen claiming "BOINC is not running". Usually when it says this, it really isn't running, but today, when that screensaver is up, it is running the GPU fan full blast. So... what is going on here? Anyone know?

Running SETI and Universe at home. Windows 10, GTX670.

The BOINC client is probably running, (and running your science apps), but the BOINC Manager can't connect to the client to display what the client is doing, so it's just saying that it's not running.
