During the past several days the site has has not been distributing new work units as the number of "Workunits ready to send" has been around zero or has been a single digit number. Also the "Workunits in progress" number has been steadily decreasing during this same time period. Does anyone have information regarding the status of this project? There is no information about the status of the site on their message boards or the twitter account which should be no surprise to anyone. Is Primaboinca ending? Thanks |

The only way to get any answers is to email Fabio (the admin) or possibly tweet him. I usually just email him if there's a problem and he fixes it pretty quickly. It's not ideal, but it's a reliable project so no big deal. I don't think the project is ending yet as no counterexplamples to AKS have been found yet. Presumably as soon as just one is found the project could end immediately. |

Project has been running stable with available tasks for the past few days. Thanks for the advice ChertseyAl! |

I'm running into a similar problem now, except that I do have a full cache of primaboinca tasks. About 4 uploaded, and then I guess the project went offline. This happened a couple days ago, with BOINCstats also showing the status of the project as offline. The queue of pending transfers just keeps growing at this point. I looked at their twitter feed, and there hasn't been updates to it in years (the one that comes up on a Google search). Is there a news item for this somewhere, and was this a planned outage? Or has the server just crashed? Did anyone happen to catch a news item somewhere before this went down? |

I emailed Fabio - There had been a DDOS attack - He expects the project to be up today (2nd Apr). |

And it's back up - I dare say the backlog of uploads/updates/downloads will slow it down for a while though ;) |
