The site comes up for me. http://volpexathome.cs.uh.edu/VolPEx/ I typically click the link from BOINCStats And a link to the BOINCStats thread that was last updated in August with info. http://boincstats.com/en/forum/10/6783,1 I don't recall how they communicated it, but do remember seeing it somewhere other than BOINCStats at one point. |

BoincTasks has the incorrect link on the add project list. be sure you use the the URL that ends on Volpex. |

upload/download server volpexathome Disabled I hope VolPex gets their act together soon. If I understand it correctly, this could be an important project that opens up Boinc to apps that allow interaction between WUs on different computers. (WUs communicate by transferring info back and forth to a central server, not directly to each other.) |

Looking closer, I've been snagging about 1 WU every week to 10 days for about 2 months. So stay attached to this project, I expect every lil' bit helps at this stage. Shrubbing a large WU now... http://volpexathome.cs.uh.edu/VolPEx/ |

They're still working. I got a WU during the night and this morning stats.free-dc.org says I gained 68 points today. |

Volpex is still handing out WU but they're having a problem with too many connections to the server so the WU either abort themselves because the deadline was reached before the job could be downloaded or the job starts and gets a compute error in the first minute because the job can't connect to the server. |

The 7 week long networking problem has been resolved and new work is now being generated (the project's job log in the BOINC data directory shows that I've successfully completed tasks from 21 workunits in the past 2 days). Volpex seems to be failing to acknowledge reports of completed work for job number 9302 (workunits 5 and 6) but new tasks are still being sent for WU 6. I have a single main (WU 5) and 82 workers (WU 6) waiting to be reported, with run times ranging from 0:21 to 18:37. The scheduler request file for those 83 tasks weighs in at 4.3MB and with work fetch disabled it takes 3 minutes for the blank reply to arrive. The website is extremely slow and according to the server status page there's currently an 8 hour transitioner backlog: Tasks ready to send 0 "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

The transitioner backlog has cleared and completed tasks for job number 9302 have just been successfully reported. "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |
