Hi all!

I installed 7.3.7 (recommended) on my phone (Android 4.2.2) but then realized I had to upgrade. I'll let my tasks finish but don't want to download new ones. Unfortunately I can't find the option to request "No new tasks" though I've read it's available. Is it?

If not will updating BOINC (GPlay recommends 7.3.12) reset the tasks and projects? (Probably.)

If you upgrade, the tasks, host id's etc are preserved, you could get the 7.4.14 from the download directory, install it manually and your tasks are still preserved.

If you uninstall, then install a new version then they are not preserved.

Edit: Which is why my Nexus 7 at Albert has a New Host ID that I've yet to merge (Boinc 7.4.13 was broken, so had to uninstall to get back to 7.3.17):

To set NNT, go to the project tab, tap the project you want to set NNT, and select No New Tasks.

BOINC -> Hamburger next to Tasks (those three stripes) in the top left corner -> Projects -> select the project of choice -> press the hamburger in the lower right corner (on the phone) -> no new tasks.

Or BOINC -> Hamburger next to Tasks (those three stripes) in the top left corner -> Projects -> select the project of choice (short press on the project name) -> no new tasks.

But as far as I know, updating BOINC here works the same as on the PC/Mac, with no loss of tasks or progress (as long as the science application checkpoints, that is).

Big thanks, Claggy, Ageless!

So I don't need to update BOINC but still thanks for the info.
