Hi
I installed Boinc 7.3.12 on my mobile and crunching SETI@homte v7

At the beginning everything is fine, 0.1% around 3.5 mins, I left the phone with charger connected and 100% charged.

But when I returned I found the app only keep timing without really crunching, the percentage is low , but the time is 17 hours already.

I suspended the crunching, and resumed, the elapsed time going back to 3 hours, and the app continued to crunching. But a few hours later, the same issues happened again, and I have to suspend and resume again.

I'm not crunching other project, so I've no idea it's the app issue or SETI's issue.

Can anyone help?

Best regards

It's a Seti problem, but very device specific, some devices are fine, other devices either error their tasks or stall, reason is undetermined at the moment,
the way to check if the app has stalled is to either use CPU-Z to check for CPU load, or check Boinc's log, and check that the task has checkpointed recently,
ie within a minute, if it hasn't checkpointed within 5 minutes or so, then suspend Boinc, then resume, that'll get the app to exit memory, and resume.

What is the mobile?

Hello.

I've got the same issue.

installed BOINC a few days ago. SETI is the only project i'm running on my phone & it seems to be going. I leave it "crunching" overnight - or all day (while i'm at work).

I rarely "use" my phone during the day - ony a few texts etc..

but the percentage looks as if its crunching, but the next time i look, it resets to 0% - with no uploads / finished tasks in my stats.

samsung GT-S7275R - SDK:17 ABI: armeabi-v7a

ARM
ARMv7 Processor rev 4 (v7l)
(2 processors)

ALSO, i have 2 processors. but only 2 tasks. shouldn't it download 3 tasks (1 spare, so when one runs out, it can start processing the next task.
or even have 4 tasks on my phone - 1 spare for each of my processors)

The setiathome Android Arm apps are are work in progrees, the don't always work well on all devices, you're had two tasks error:

Computer 7329090

All tasks for computer 7329090

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php

That url takes me to my hosts, and anyone else who looks at it will take them to their hosts.

ALSO, i have 2 processors. but only 2 tasks. shouldn't it download 3 tasks (1 spare, so when one runs out, it can start processing the next task.
or even have 4 tasks on my phone - 1 spare for each of my processors)

it will, when it's far enough through it's existing tasks.
