...don't hijack an already open page. This nails me every time; guess I'm too stupid to own a computer 8-)

I assume you're running IE on Windows, but the same is true for Safari on Mac OSX - launching a URL from another program will use the existing window or open a new window based on the setting you have set in the browser preferences. BOINC (or Mail, or whatever) has no control over that.

Thanks for the reply. You are correct - IE6. I unchecked 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts' in Internet Option -> Advanced tab and that did the trick. I had in mind that Google (and others) have a selectable preference to open results in a new window; I thought it could be something to add into BOINC. Now that you've pointed me in the right direction I'm good to go. Thanks again, excellent support as always!
