My BOINC MANAGER VERSION 7.0.64(X86) ISN'T DOING ANY WORK. When it runs presently, and please note that I have re-installed it repeatedly with the same results. The program downloads new work unit files, and it either causes the work files to fail from the start, or run doing no work in the file it is supposed to be working within. I tried to (after completely removing the BOINC manager, and even installing an older version. Having no luck, as if you try to run an older version of BOINC. The older version usually won't work because of something I think you have put here to prevent this use of the older, or previous version to the upgraded version at that time from being run, and working. I have been in a position more than once where BOINC will fail, and when I have tried to use an older version it normally won't work. I wish you wouldn't make it so I can't run an older version after upgrading to a newer BOINC, as I have had more than one version fail after upgrade. Sometimes I can finally get the latest version to run after some trial a error with my WINDOWS XP-SP3 PRO 32-BIT FULLY UPDATED at the time of the problem. Please note! I said sometimes, and sometimes I'd have to wait for the next version, or if lucky the previous version at that time will run.l Please pardon any typo's. I'm having trouble hitting the correct keys. I am using a spell-checker, but if I spell a word correctly even if it's the wrong word. It'll still be used if I don't see it first. Thank You for Your Time. Lightsttn1 |

Boinc Manager doesn't do any work, Boinc Manager is the GUI, the Graphical User Interface for the Boinc client, and even then the Boinc client doesn't do any work either, it manages what project applications do, project applications are what do the work. If you're got problems with project applications, take the problem up with the project concerned. I you're having problems with project applications from multiple projects, then yes post about it here, But go and read this thread and post the required information: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=8600 Claggy |
