So what's the skinny on the Mac version of BOINC? Is it as bad as some of the threads/messages I've seen? How hard is the command line version to setup/configure/run (as far as adding projects and such)? Thanks guys!!!! |

So what's the skinny on the Mac version of BOINC? Is it as bad as some of the threads/messages I've seen? How hard is the command line version to setup/configure/run (as far as adding projects and such)? What sort of complaints are you seeing? I haven't seen major complaints about the Mac version. As far as the command line stuff, I don't use a Mac, but the couple times I've tried to use the Windows command line, it was fairly easy. But take that for what it's worth... Kathryn :o) |

What sort of complaints are you seeing? I haven't seen major complaints about the Mac version. I just remember seeing posts with people having trouble with that version when running on 10.4. I'd have to actually search again to see exactly what they were. I'm guessing there aren't too many people here running on Mac so they aren't responding :( Thanks for the input on the command line though!!! |

Thanks! So what's the recommended method for upgrading and removing the old MenuBar? |

Is there a way to "drain" the queue via the MenuBar application? If not, then can/should I move the work from the MenuBar work units after installing .16? Thanks!!!! |

Just install on top, I don't think you would lose the previous work. But then, I don't know about BOINC on Macs. |

Thanks Nicolas. That's what I did and all seems to be okay except that some of the new projects I've started running don't have a Mac client - oh well. I did go back and remove all of the remnants of the MenuBar app too just to be sure. |
