Hi there, I'm maintaining an ArchLinux pkgbuild[1] for a headless version of the BOINC client. Ideally, I'd like to build BOINC with no dependency on X libraries whatsoever. However, I've noticed warnings during build that indicate that the BOINC API expects X and OpenGL to be there. I'd appreciate some clarification on this point. Is it possible to configure & build a client without X that will be able to run all units normally? I'm guessing that without X and OpenGL, it won't be possible to run units on the GPU, but then I believe this is not possible if X is not running anyway; is that correct? Thanks for your time, Paul [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/boinc-nogui |
