Doesn't it still take some 700 years or so before that radiation is here by the time we see it explode?

Was wondering. ET single malt must be something "Out of this world".
Tell your friends to come with a couple of bottles for the party.

Uhh, no. If you see it explode it is already here. It just means it blew up 642.5 years ago and the radiation/light is now just reaching Earth.

It exploded some 700 years ago and they have predicted the precise time the gravity wave, neutrinos and photons will arrive. ;-)

Or perhaps it _is_ the hibernation ...

Now there's an idea I hadn't even thought of yet, the day after the 31st of March is April 1st... April Fool's Day. Could Seti be twisting our knickers? ;-)

Methinks that's a useful speculation.

The winner of the seti lotto!

Will that be the when the last WU goes out or when they stop accepting completed tasks?

Two separate lotteries, the last WU downloaded and the last returned.

And how long after the end will Jord lock this thread? Before or after it reaches 10K posts?

Why would I need to lock it? We can always wait for the 90 days no post auto lock.
