Yes, the UK variant started while I was in the pub. Snow falling, but not settling, except on car windshields. Higher up from the valley floor, it's starting to settle - roofs already covered. It did snow (gently) all night, and the hills and fields are nicely covered - but the tarmac roads had enough residual heat to melt the snow as it landed.
