Fortunately over here they just relaxed the ABC (alcohol beverage commission) rules and pubs can now fill your growler while you wait your takeout food order. This just in: Off-licences added to list of 'essential' retailers 'Off-licence' in British-speak is an ordinary shop, allowed to sell alcohol "for consumption off the premises".
