The file system containing the beta project uploads directory is having problems, so beta is down until further notice. This problem may be affecting the rate at which the main project can handle results, so the validation and assimilation queues are getting large, which may affect the rate of work generation." We need all the help we could get to pass this "perfect storm" BTW My extra large cache still have work for 2 days so is not the end of the world for me, but i know by now most of the big crunchers are almost running empty. the mid range crunchers will start to suffer from the starvation very soon too. There's a total fire ban in most parts of Australia, so you'd be on your own there. That just leaves holding your breath until your face turns blue, and/or going to the pub. Its 7:30am my Time which means it is 5:30am in California. That is WAY to early to get up. I hope a lot of the maintenance is fully automated so the staff doesn't have to ruin as much of their day by getting up too early! Rumor has it they are going to try to "revert" the Database and roll-back to the previous version of Server code that was working better than this version is. Because of "the troubles" I reverted to "stock" Linux. ---edit--~~And I now see the stock 8.05 cpu task appears to be processing as fast as the AIO cpu task usually does.~~ ---edit-- Nope, misread my Boinc Manager screen. ---edit-- I need to ask around and see if there is a AVX2 CPU task that runs faster on the AMD 3000 cpus. --edit-- Tom Tag.
