Set NNT and started to report finished work. Didn't bother to set NNT and all work has reported nicely, in chunks of 100, 200 or 300.. Even got a few ... |

Unfortunately nothing worked yet, since i have no hair to burn could anyone give another suggestion? Even my ultra large WU cache is not enough for such "ultra long outrages". Since is a hot Saturday evening here, i will continue my sacrifice on the usual pub. |

Nice. We need all the help we could get to pass this "perfect storm" BTW My extra large cache still have work for 2 days so is not the end of the world for me, but i know by now most of the big crunchers are almost running empty. the mid range crunchers will start to suffer from the starvation very soon too. I still not understand why they made such highly potential of crash move like they done so close to the Christmas holidays. |

What kind of sacrafices do we need to offer the aliens for tomorrow's planned outrage? Burning hair, trips to the pub, howling at the moon did no good this past week.. Suggestions should be posted A.S.A..P. so we can try to prevent a total project meltdown. |

Howling won't work, because it's almost new moon. There's a total fire ban in most parts of Australia, so you'd be on your own there. That just leaves holding your breath until your face turns blue, and/or going to the pub. And if you're holding your breath, then you'll be able to drink more. Mightn't shorten the outage, but you wouldn't care anyway. |

Well, they've started early again. I wonder how long it'll take them to revert the database? |

The server is down for "Tuesday Maintenance". Its 7:30am my Time which means it is 5:30am in California. That is WAY to early to get up. I hope a lot of the maintenance is fully automated so the staff doesn't have to ruin as much of their day by getting up too early! Rumor has it they are going to try to "revert" the Database and roll-back to the previous version of Server code that was working better than this version is. I hope they are successful AND I hope it is not a hair pulling out experience! Tom |

What kind of sacrafices do we need to offer the aliens for tomorrow's planned outrage? As long as the hardware doesn't reach the above stage of non-maintenance I THINK there is hope..... Tom Tag. Your "it". |

One of my boxes runs Linux (usually) with Tbar's AIO. Because of "the troubles" I reverted to "stock" Linux. ---edit-- ---edit-- Nope, misread my Boinc Manager screen. ---edit-- I need to ask around and see if there is a AVX2 CPU task that runs faster on the AMD 3000 cpus. --edit-- Tom Tag.
