I'm making great use of the 45 Mb/5 Mb speeds before my dad reverts us back to 24 Mb/5 Mb speeds... He doesn't want to pay the extra $10/mo. for the 45... :-(

We went up in the first place because it was supposed to fix our pixelations on the TV's; but, it hasn't - so we're going back down to 24 Mb whenever my dad calls in to AT&T U-verse.

Nah, the package includes analog and digital TV plus telephone plus that internet, just €65.- a month (excluding extra charges for phone, I pay for instance €10.- more but am then able to call for free throughout the whole of The Netherlands and most countries in Europe. Calling America does cost me money though.)

You have really fast connection, and You are much closer to Berkeley than Me and Annie. It's just the Ping :)

My distance to Berkeley is about 5416 miles, and Annies is about 5349 miles (counted from capital of our countries). Your's is about 2559 (counted from New York) so Ping does count :)

And specially with me, I'm using mobile 3G network, Ping is awful long anyways.

Yeah, ping is awful, but it cost's me 14€/month (only Internet), and I can take that USB stick with me (almost) everywhere in Finland and it still works (maybe only in GPS mode, but still works).
