Okay... All of this latest *point all over thread* ---> my fault people... for which I truly am very sorry. I boinced insomniacally in... teased Jord about his Ubisoft banishment and completely overlooked Mark and his current situation. It was very insensitive :( Sleepy in charge of a keyboard :/ not good idea. Watching friends fall out is not a happy pastime :( I never really know what to say so flap somewhat uselessly in the background and hope that things will work out okay.

And that's really all I can do now. I've been here a fraction of the time most of the regular posters have - and know little or nothing of the water that has passed under so many bridges. I do hope new bridges are built, and that they're done on firm foundations that stand the test of time better than previous ones have. But ones like that need time too, for the ground to settle and the work to begin :)

I will in the meantime endeavour to be much more careful with my posts so that I'm not tactlessly trampling on anyone's bruises.

Hear hear. You can probably use the work people in the street, who start again at 7am with their racket. If you can use them, I'll point them the way. :)

The earlier warning was about people hitting the report button. "Anonymously complaining", without having set foot in this thread. Kathryn wants to come out of the snow to give everyone involved a timeout. I've calmed her down. :)
So it was nothing you said. No need to say sorry to me. I've not seen you do anything wrong. At all.

But a bit of extra information might help (you below is meant in general, not Annie):
1. I am not saying to stop reporting things you find offensive. All I ask is that you stop reporting Mark only because it's Mark. If Mark rips Chris a new one in a post with severe colorful language, and I haven't seen it yet, I may want to know about it. But as long as Chris calls out for Mark to come and play and Mark does so, there's no need for that to be reported. Remember, it takes two to tango, and in most cases where there's abuse or love hurled, it goes both ways.

2. Last I checked, we're all matures here. When you see your neighbor throw garbage over the fence into the other neighbor's garden, do you call the cops on him or do you talk to him about it? Same here. So come out of the woodwork, and tell Mark how you feel about what he said yourself. It's how you would want to be treated, isn't it?

As the OP let me say Mark is welcome. Everyone is, except the people Jord has problems with and they know who they are. I've just asked that we keep politics out of this thread as there is one available for that subject. Otherwise, in case you hadn't noticed, this is not the Seti Boards. The Seti moderators are just regular users here. The rules at the left when you press post apply and the mods here construe them a bit more liberally. I'd like everyone to have fun. A reminder to posters at Seti, what Mark says here should not be re-posted at Seti, they seriously frown upon that.

As to flames, I'd hope we don't have children posting here, only adults. I've asked for lite here, so if you feel the need, try and word it with enough humor the object of your fire can laugh, like a roast[1]. I'm not going to hit the red-x and report it unless the posts are happening so furious that no one else can carry a conversion, or they turn profane.

Now follow my rule 3, have fun!

Thanks Gary, Jord and others who understand some bit of reason.
As Jord said, you got something to say, say it to ME.
And yes, Jord clued me in to some of what is going on behind the scenes here.
And no, he has not outed anybody, and I didn't ask him to.

Chris and I understand each other and we are on good terms. Just a couple of pokes back and forth between friends, unless he says otherwise.

Poking at me just because I am me is not good play, and this was going on in the Seti forums as well before my banishment there.

Anyway...
Good to be home after a long day at the fire truck factory, safe and warm with the kitties...especially warm, as it's only 8f outside right now.

Well, they would probably fit Dad better than the kitties...although pink is not exactly my color.
The kitties stay pretty cozy all day on the heated waterbed, so even if the crunchers cannot keep the house toasty, they are all comfy as can be.

Just for the record I have not complained about anything Mark has said in my direction, nor have I red x'ed any posts either, about him or anybody else for that matter. Any of that if it has happened will have been down to others. Mark and I are fine as far as I'm aware. However if Kathryn feels that she wants to give me a timeout for some reason then let her, that is perfectly OK with me.

Move along folks nothing to see here.

And I intend to try to keep it that way. Jord has been kind to me, and I shall try to return the favor by not getting out of line. And thankfully, the lines he has drawn are somewhat more realistic than some of those drawn at Seti.
As long as I don't try to bring down the house, I hope that I am welcome here by at least him.

The rest of you.....why don't you quit punching Jord's red-x button and show your faces. I welcome it in a forum in which I am allowed to speak freely.
