Hitting the back arrow sometimes works for me... when it doesn't insultingly take me to a "page expired" page... What's that about then... *pause for wounded look* ...when a page can't even be bothered to cling onto life long enough for me to post it? Too refreshed, or not refreshed enough? Don't need an answer... just keyboard-pondering :) Anyone with any sense... Oh... sorry... that's not for me... the better solution was to think... erm... Neither is that one... *toil toil* *puff* *wheeze* Sandpit's ready! :) edit: Oh. Everyone's gone... |

I am getting seriously pissed off with seti@home. Some weeks they can't be bothered to shut down until 10.30 in the morning on Tuesdays their time. Today they have just done it at 7.30am. about time they got their act together I think. I thought it was Matt who gets things cracking so early in the morning? I'll make an appointment with my Doc, must be coming down with a bit of that CRSAS :) Can't remember s*** about Seti :) |

Nearly seven hours seems like rather a long time, especially in multiple consecutive weeks. signature |

Woohoo!! Sometimes silence is good:) Give those poor servers some rest and reboots and stuff:) Yeah, that way we can give them hell (so to speak) when they come back online. |

Before Seti goes completely down for today's outrage, I'm going to propose that this thread be rebooted. It's getting rather long in the tooth. I will PM Gary here and at Seti. [edit] For those of you who saw my earlier edit, I was just at Einstein before coming here and had a momentary brain fart. signature |

Wait a minute! Pages! We have pages! Thank you, Bernd!!! Wrong site! Bernd is responsible for Einstein, where they still don't have pages. This is BOINC, where you can thank David and Jord for the pages. |

Wait a minute! Pages! We have pages! Thank you, Bernd!!! Yep, and because of that, there is no need to have a #2 thread. Just set your preferences. |

This is BOINC, where you can thank David and Jord for the pages. David yes, me though? Now here's a good question, since when do we have those pages per thread? I can't find any mention of them being added in Trac nor Git. |

I can't recall a time when SETI didn't have pages. I was lurking the site when BOINC was still in alpha testing. |

This is BOINC, where you can thank David and Jord for the pages. We've had them at SETI for, er, ages. I guess they went into SVN whenever that happened, and it just took rather a long time for this site to be brought up to current standards. Maybe - web: improve forum pagination Git 490b74068287c4240bf1e5def51968fcddd33f30, 11 Jul 2012 |

Pages with threads is an old thing. But pages within a thread is a new thing. Just look at this thread at EInstein, all 217 posts is one page. No option to set Display this many messages per page in Message display. Edit: Thanks Richard. Edit2: Creepies, thank Raistmer. http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/pipermail/boinc_dev/2012-July/018645.html |

Wait a minute! Pages! We have pages! Thank you, Bernd!!! I knew it. I corrected myself too late to avoid embarrassment. signature |

Wait a minute! Pages! We have pages! Thank you, Bernd!!! You know, I keep saying that to those people (Julie and Arkayn, for example) who like to restart their threads when they get near 1,000. Just forget I said anything. signature |

Updating Elderscrolls Online. First bit of the patch, 4GB came in at 12MB/sec. Second bit of the patch, 6GB comes in at 2MB/sec. Not going to play this soon then. And as with every bit of software, there's big bugs in this release (big patch 5). But let's release it anyway, huh? :) |

I just hope that They, really underfunded staff, get Bruno working, so we can crunch again. :) |
