I wonder if the extended downtime means they are fixing and granting credit for the "old" V6 SETI task that have been stuck and doing a clean-up of the database tables, etc... or maybe installing/upgrading hardware? |

What's wrong with SETI at Home now??? They had close to a 6 and a half hour outage, yesterday; and, now, they're down again!!!???!!! :-( Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos Pluto is still a planet |

seems to be a "regular" nowadays... The day after Tuesday maintenance the servers take a break. No reporting is a novelty though, the last 3-4 weeks it was only affected the web pages |

Actually, I'd say it's a good sign that this Boinc message board system is still up. Means it's a Seti problem, not a Berkeley problem. signature |

At some point, my account page came up with the "Down for maintenance" message, but now it's not responding again. The home page is up, but the News box is totally empty (or I just didn't give it enough time to populate -- everything is sloooooooow). The SSP took a good minute to reload and it shows everything disabled except the upload and download servers and the science databases. Those five processes are on five different machines, so I'll take that as good news. signature |

This SUCKS!!! :-( [EDIT] Well, I just got the Home Page; but, as David said, the News block is empty. For the heck of it, I clicked on the "Download" Link and that worked. However, the rest of the site is down, all I get now is "Project Down for maintenance" for both Main and Beta. Now: 2:57 PM - PST Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! From front page The machine that serves the boinc database crashed a few hours ago. The project is down until the database recovery is complete. |
