SETI website has returned but in a "light themed" versus the "dark themed" it was before.

Menus are not readable in the new light theme. Had to enable dark mode in my browser to login and traverse the forums.

Yep, bring back the old theme- or change the colour of the menus/account text.

White text on a white background isn't fun.

Sounds more like a missing CSS.

I'm adding myself to the group of people who are unhappy about the colors.

I'm seeing red (or orange) on a white background. Not impossible to read but uncomfortable.

If it was darker it'd be OK.
But that white text on an almost white background... and if you can make out the menus, when you click on it the drop-down box is pure white as is the text- ie invisible.

Just a quick post but I am seeing the SETI site 100% normal, since it returned. My browser is Opera GX if that makes a difference

You've probably got it set for dark mode or something similar.
Think of this site- but Seti with most links as faint red/orange text, the menus at the top white on white.

It's still white, but now the links are blue, and everything in the menu bar is now visible (it's now the same colour scheme as this site).

I emailed Eric, who emailed David, who fixed it (in his words mostly). At least now when logging in, it happens with black chars instead of light grey.

Thank you Jord for letting the powers to be about that bad color scheme. At least it's readable now.

David told me:

I actually don't know what the problem was.
I updated the CSS files to the standard BOINC ones
(there are separate ones for light and dark mode).
Along with updating the PHP code, which was old (2018).
Then I got rid of a S@h 'custom' CSS file,
and also switched the logo at the left of the nav bar.

So you lot test things and let me know, and I'll post it back to him if need be. Or just turn on Dark Mode theme in your browser. :)
