Dr Who Fan Send message Joined: 10 May 07 Posts: 1683	Message 117392 - Posted: 10 Nov 2025, 4:10:57 UTC Out of curiosity, I decided to do a IP trace and Name Space Lookup for the main Berkeley, SETI and this website. According to the lookup at Domaintools(dot)com, the main Berkeley site is on one IP address ending with 20. SETI and this site are on another shared address ending with 21. All 3 resolve on Cloudflare servers in Austin TX that is shared with thousands of other websites. Cloudflare is probably being used as a "security screener" before being handed off to the real Berkeley servers. The "20" address supposedly has 90,928 other sites hosted on same IP address. The "21" address supposedly has 2,351 other sites hosted on same IP address. Maybe Its Cloudflare servers that are the culprit of the time outs. Possible, but most likely only if dealing with a heavy traffic load- low traffic load Coudflare plans are only "cheap" because of their very low supported traffic rates.
