If y'all would post some stuff we could get over 10K and let everyone sleep. . . That's an interesting observation. In this case I am the mommy, I raised them both from 1 week old, and I definitely did not teach them to hunt. Though they did have the empty cardboard toilet roll centres to play with and one furry toy all of which they gave hello to. I guess mine are self taught. But I will concede that the redhead is far more enthusiastic and profficient than his tabby brother. Stephen Cat mommy. |

Mine is a mouser. . . I had one like that too many years ago. She would alert us to her return with muffled mews to present with a mouthful of what seemed to be a dead rat hanging out both sides (a big monster it would be, no small game for her) only to drop it on the floor and while she was waiting for her applause it would get up and head for the hills. But while we would all scramble after it, it was mostly her that caught it again. I think she enjoyed watching us stumble about the place .... ;-) Stephen |

The ones I had would look at them from on top of the couch, laugh at them, yawn and roll over to continue to sleep. . . Sounds like relatives of Garfield ... Stephen :) |

It could be worse... McDonald's runs out of milkshakes in England, Scotland and Wales |

I thought that was "good news". But some folks are totally addicted to them.... |

I thought that was "good news". News of no relevance to me other than some mild amusement. Haven't been in McDonald's this century or the last ten years of the previous one. |

I thought that was "good news". Wish I could say the same, but I got caught in some backwoods area and it was the only thing open. BARF |

Wish I could say the same, but I got caught in some backwoods area and it was the only thing open. BARF I spent 30 years working with adolescents, most of whom would describe somewhere without a McDonalds as a backwoods area or some UK equivalent phrase. |

Finally got around to reading the "milkshake" article. It's more a matter of lack of lorry drivers. And I thought: What a great opportunity for small robot delivery vehicles. Millions of them running around the footpaths. |

Finally got around to reading the "milkshake" article. They have them doing home deliveries in Milton Keynes. |

Finally got around to reading the "milkshake" article. Yes, and they could even be powered by milkshake! |

Finally got around to reading the "milkshake" article. It's probably more a case of obsessive business central control. Why aren't the "restaurants" (as they like to call them) supplied with milk from local cows via local dairies? What's the food-mile cost of supplying every ingredient from a centralisd distribution depot? |

Probably because the "milk" used in MuckyDee's milk shakes is more a product of a chemical factory than a cow. |

Fresh milk is distributed cheaply and at scale in every British city and town - it's a staple of the British diet. A perennial complaint of British dairy farmers is that the 'economy of scale' purchasing power of British supermarkets forces farm-gate prices close to, or below, the cost of production. |

The suppliers vie for the large and lucrative clients like Maccas. Stephen |

I've seen the amount of real milk material that's removed, and the amount of additives put in to make up the powder they use to make the "milk" for their shakes. |

Well, you have to point at the 'next' guy, because he's the one calling the shots now, isn't he?? Did I, or did I not predict this? That post was from back on the 15th. And our "president" is now a fool on the world's stage. |
