I have boinc set up to start when i leave my computer for a minute, and now all of a sudden everytime boinc starts running i get a runtime error that flashes up on my screen. I reinstalled boinc and updated it but its still doing the same thing. It seems like the projects run even though the error pops up but its getting really annoying. |

To get to the (start-up) messages, in BOINC 6.10 and before, click the Messages tab. In BOINC 6.12, 7.0 and after, when in Advanced view press CTRL+SHIFT+E. |

OK, nothing there, other than that all your tasks are over the deadline. You stated you had a runtime error. What about the error files? 1. In your BOINC Data directory, default at C:\ProgramData\BOINC\, find and open stderrdae.txt and see what's in it that corresponds with when you had the runtime error. 2. In Windows Event Viewer, at Start->Administrative Tools->Windows Event Viewer, what are there for errors or warnings in the system and application logs for around the time that you had the runtime error? |

i dont have the file with a dae at the end i have stderrgfx.txt though, but i dont know what to look for, same for the windows event viewer. Im not sure what i should be looking for i see some errors but im not a programmer so i dont understand all the code. and everything is overdue because i keep closing boinc due to the annoyance of the error. |

I decided to uninstall and reinstall boinc. Once i did i started up boinc and forced it to run the tasks that were still in it. It popped up an error and i clicked the x it gave me a pop up i didnt read something about closing the window but still running i susupect. But since then it has not given me the run time error. I checked the tasks and forced them to run and also ran them on preferences but still no runtime error. I did notice that for climatepreldiction.net that there was a computation error that wasnt there before either. But for whatever reason im not getting the runtime error now. |
