Don't know where the best place to put this info is but guess the developers might look here.... I loaded 5.4.4 onto one of my machines the other day and this morning noticed that it was doing something funny! On the Project Tab Seti has dissappeared, but is still running somehow, and on the Tasks Tab both 'Project' and 'Application' show up blank for all work for Seti and Predictor - though the work units appear to be being processed normally. Am not worried about this (yet) but thought I should let someone know. |

This is the first report of this I've seen. Have you tried a reboot? |

Predictor appears to have had some badly formed workunits get out recently. This may have been what caused this. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Bad work units may explain Predictor problems - but I don't understand why SETI has dissapeared from the active projects list... @mmciastro Yep, first thing I did was a reboot of BOINC. Might try the rebooting the computer though. |

Quick update: Rebooting the machine did nothing to help, but I looked at the Predictor website in light of Keck_Komputers info about bad units. It said to abort (basically) all my current units, but when I tried it wouldn't do this. Neither would it suspend the work or the project. Out of desperation, I detached the project and now everything is working as normal; all the SETI stuff has returned. Anyone want to explain how a bad workunit can cause the MANAGER to throw a wobbly?!? |

Someone at QMC just posted the same issue as you at QMC |

Turns out it was something in the XML file. A tag not being closed I belive. I also just saw on the Predictor forums that the problem has been corrected. I think a project update will fix things. If not, a detach and reattach will. Kathryn :o) |
