I have two PCs running BOINC.
Each PC has a Belkin UPS and that UPS is monitored by belkin software.
The belkin software can run a command file before shutting down the OS

When the UPS looses 110v supply power I would like to run a .bat file to suspend BOINC computation.

Is this possible?

PC1 is Win-7 SP-1 x64 4-core running boinc mgr 7.0.25 [x64]
PC2 is WinXP-SP3 x42 2-core running boinc mgr 6.10.58

Thanks

BOINC has a better option built in. As long as the O/S recognizes the UPS, if you tell BOINC to suspend computation while on battery (option originally intended for laptops, but works on desktops with UPS) it will happily do so.
