Hi. When running multiple projects I often get alot of tasks filling up the BM cahe and therefore the low "debt" projects which are supposed to request work doesn't. My suggestion is: An example. Running 2 projects. Reasource share is 100 and 100 Then the cue should reserve "space" for each project with aprox 50% and 50% When one project have a cue of 50% it should stop requesting work until it is below 50%. If the second project for some reason is out of work and it's 50% cache isn't filled it should keep requesting work until it's cahe is filled and then only start requesting more work when the cache is below 50% And the same should apply if there are several projects running. Now I am running 7.0.24 and I'd say that the work request thing needs an upgrade to work properly when running alot of projects and on several cores and several/mixed GPU cards. //TRuEQ ; Team.se TRuEQ & TuVaLu |

If you have work request problems with an Alpha version, which 7.0.24 is, then enable the <work_fetch_debug> and <cpu_sched_debug> (and possibly the <rr_simulation>) flags in cc_config.xml and send an excerpt of the log, with those debug messages in it,to the Alpha email list. This list needs registration. . Explain what the problem is, show in the log where this is a problem. |

Thank you again for reminding med to apply to the mailing list and the cc_config.xml file adds I did a check of the message file and found something that might be related to not running cpu tasks but only GPU tasks and not to have the BM requesting new tasks for GPU while it should. I mailed DA about it and some logs attached. Hopefully he can see what I am "seeing" here. This is difficult stuff :) //TRuEQ TRuEQ & TuVaLu |
