I'm a new user of BOINC and have just installed and configured my system to run the Test4Theory project for the LHC@Home 2.0. What I have found is that the install of the project has overridden the current setting of the Oracle Virtual Box Default Machine Folder and Virtual Media Manager. This is a problem for me because when I installed the project I already had a number of VMs configured and running on my system. Those VMs are no longer visible in the VBox list of machines on my system. I know where the existing files are located so I know how to reconfigure VBox to reconnect to them. But I will need to relocate the Test4Theory VM so I can have all my VMs in one place. So what is the best process for relocating the VM and what is the ramification to the project? Is this something that someone here can answer or will I need to get the answer from the Test4Theory forums? My system configuration: Asus P7P55D-E Motherboard, Intel i5-750 quad core CPU 4 GBytes memory, ~1TB system disk w/ 255 GByte system partition 1.5 TByte RAID 5 config w/ 3 disks Windows 7 Pro SP1 Oracle VirtualBox 4.1.10 BOINC Manager 6.12.34 Let me know if you need more info on my system. Thank you for your help. John Spitzer |

You're better off asking at the T4T forums. However, I can tell you that the T4T VM cannot be moved to your general VM directory, it'll have to stay in the BOINC data directory, as else BOINC won't be able to find it again. |
