Hi all,

Please forgive me if I'm covering something that's either obvious or a regular question. I had a quick search but didn't find much relating to my issues.

I've been running Seti@Home for a good few months now, but recently I've been running into problems. My internet connection I know is OK, and I haven't changed any settings within BOINC since downloading. As I say it was running fine for a good few months.

I am now constantly having the "communication deferred" error when I try to update the project manually. I have no jobs running just now and when I try to update I get the error.

Sometimes I get jobs in OK but can seem to go for days with no new jobs coming in. Is this an issue locally with me or could it be a problem with the SETI project?

I'm fairly new to all this so please forgive my basic questions.

Thanks for that. Doesn't really mean much to me though. I take it there's a problem with the SETI project?

There was a particular problem to do with the configuration of a new server at SETI, which has been causing problems for the last 24 hours or so. It was found and fixed just before the project went into routine maintenance today, so hopefully it will run more smoothly once maintenance is complete.
