My seti@home screensaver is bizarrely distorted in a way that is difficult to describe, but it reminds me of the distortion one would get in the old days on TVs when the vertical or horizontal roll was badly out of whack. Or perhaps a combination of that and very rapid flashing. Otherwise, everything seems to work as it should with one odd exception: if I select "Show graphics" in BOINC manager, the graphics/screensaver looks fine.

Windows 7 64bit Sp1 6.1.7601
MB: Asus P8Z68-V
Processor: Intel Core i3-2130 3.4GHz. Onboard graphics Intel HD graphics 2000. Driver: 8.15.10.2559
Memory: 32gigs
No videocard.
DirectX 10.1
Monitor driver: MS 6.1.7600.16385
BOINC Mgr 6.12.34
Seti@Home Enhanced 6.03

Thank you kindly for any help.

Try to update your Intel HD Graphics driver first (direct link to the correct last driver, just click the Download button).

I never managed to get the graphics chip in my i3-530 working correctly (read: at all). So other than that, I don't know. Interference? Corruption? You can only test by actually adding a videocard to see if that one does it normally.

Thanks much for your help Jord. No changes unfortunately after the driver upgrade and I don't have a video card at all (even an old one). It may perhaps be my old monitor (Acer AL 1914), for which the latest driver is from Windows and 2006. However, the problem is not a major one, so I shall simply deal with it.

If I do get a video card or additional monitor, I will add to this post.

To SanGabriel
What you describe is correct because I just live there less than 5 days: my notebook (HP Compaq 6830s, Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU, 2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, Video Card: ATI Mobility HD Radeo 3430) with Windows Vista, had no problem in the Boinc screensaver SET @ home.
I formatted to install Windows 7 to 64-bit, full version, and of course reinstalled Boinc 6.12.34.
The screen saver has become unstable while running, the entire image, including the toolbar of Windows (the desktop) flash as if the screen frequency became unstable.
I installed Boinc 7.0.20: same problem.
I think I'll still install boinc 6.10.60 but for windows 32 bit.
I am looking for the solution.
Greetings.

Yes, but did you reinstall the ATI videocard drivers? As the drivers installed by Windows lack the needed OpenGL part, since this is a direct competitor to their DirectX. Go to http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx and download (save first) good drivers, then install those in Windows and try again.

Mind, it's also possible you're required to get the drivers from the Compaq site. Check that first. Also check there for motherboard chipset drivers.
