I just tried to install the Linux 64 bit version on Centos 5 and got the following error when trying to start boinc. ./boinc: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I have both 32 and 64 bit curl installed Name : curl Arch : i386 Version : 7.15.5 Release : 9.el5_7.4 Size : 463 k Repo : installed Summary : A utility for getting files from remote servers (FTP, HTTP, and : others). URL : http://curl.haxx.se/ License : MIT Description: cURL is a tool for getting files from FTP, HTTP, Gopher, Telnet, : and Dict servers, using any of the supported protocols. cURL is : designed to work without user interaction or any kind of : interactivity. cURL offers many useful capabilities, like proxy : support, user authentication, FTP upload, HTTP post, and file : transfer resume. @ Trog Dog thanks for the reply. I had a look and I do not have enough knowledge of Linux to rebuild rpm's so I will just have to stay on version 6.10.58. Thanks again. |
