I have used XP 64 bit for trial. I am running XP 32. I have also purchased a XP 64 New pack.

Before I re-install I would like to know if there will be any processing speed enhancement. I know BOINC is not a 64 bit application.

Thanks for any information

You may want to take this question to the Seti Number Crunching Board if you have Seti credits. It will find a larger and more experienced group of people.
I believe I read a tread a while back that suggested that in many cases 32 bit software actually ran slower on 64 bit OS.

Thanks for a quick response.

I wanted to know if someone has hands on experience. I will come back with my own experience.
