You probably running Win98. This file is part of Microsoft Active Accessibility software. You can DL oleacc.dll from this site. Unzip it and put it in your C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM folder. If I am correct about my assumption that your using Win98 then this information will probably interest you as well. 1. If you decide to do more than 1 project, do not use the option 'leave in memory'. Win98 has strange hiccups that causes it to not switch properly from one application to another with this option, causing it to try to crunch more than 1 application at a time and very little work is actually done. Note: the Rosetta project requires that you leave it memory, so that probably would not be a good choice for your system. 2. Boinc doesn't always shut down properly when you try to exit Win98. This file should clear up the shut down problem. Download and unzip into your windows directory the file Default.zip to instruct Windows to close the SETI CLI when exiting. You may need to reboot after to activate this change. Note this windows patch doesn't always work with Windows 98 original edition. The file you are unzipping is called _Default.PIF and contains the information to tell Windows to honor application close instructions. It only impacts 16 bit (DOS) and 32 bit console applications. Let us know if you have other issues I haven't covered. Boinc V 7.4.36 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB NVidia 470 |
