Is there a way to have more than just an on/off for the exclusive app setting? I would like to have my computer use all 8 threads while idle, 6 when I am using the computer, and 4 when I have certain apps running. It seems like the config_cc.xml should be able to handle this kind of customization, but I haven't seen anything about how to do it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?

There is no way to do this at this time. It's thought of as a feature for the preferences for a future BOINC.

Any update on the implementation of this?

No. It won't be implemented in BOINC 7.0; as said, it's a feature for a future BOINC.
