I do not keep information for a long time at the system running the client. The information kept at the server remains longer and is easier to access. The question has arisen as to whether a 'snapshot' of the "ready queue" at a client could be reconstructed "after-the-fact". Let me suggest that a new "Exited" time stamp field be added to the 'Result' record, in addition to the existing "Created", "Sent", "Received", and "Deadline" time stamp fields in that record. Its value would be stored by the client when it stores the result's "Exit status" value. Since the purpose would be to allow _sequencing_ the execution of the WUs at the client system, it would not matter if there was an offset between the time kept by the client system and the time kept by the server system. . |
