I have a Globalscale Dreamplug, running Debian (Lenny). I have successfully installed the boinc-client and connected to my seti@home account, but it seems that this processor is unsupported. 24/06/2011 22:24:31 SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Hold on, which BOINC version did you get then and where did you get it from? It must have been third party build specifically for the "arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi" type computer. So you should be able to get science applications through the same source. You can check http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/DownloadOther, but I don't hold my hope up there. Since the BOINC was purposefully built for that type CPU, all science applications must be purposefully built for it as well. See also http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=1219 and in Seti's case SETI Enhanced binaries for other Platforms and Astropulse binaries for other platforms. I hope that helps. |

Well, I installed the package from the standard debian repositories :~$ dpkg --list |grep -i boinc ii boinc-client 6.2.14-3 core client for the BOINC distributed comput :~$ boinc --version 6.2.14 arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi Looked at the supported platforms on the seti@home project pages and arm (of any sort) is not mentioned at all, which is a shame, since 99% of the time this little brick is sitting there humming to itself, and I wanted to put it to good use. Ho Hum. Thanks for the pointers anyway. Regards, Adrian ![]() |

I did a search for "armel" (without quotes) together with BOINC and Seti. This is one of the sites I found: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/armel/boinc-app-seti This is another that looks promising: http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=boinc-app-seti |
