I have my monitor power down after 30mins of non-usage, been doing this fine for months/years by changing the settings in Windows Control panel for power. I also have a screen saver run after 5 mins of inactivity, this being the BOINC screen saver. Now everything has been fine for ages with the screen saver kicking in after 5mins of activity and then if not further activity has happened 25mins later then my monitor will power down. All wakes up when I move the mouse. Now, I upgraded my BOINC clients to 6.12.26 a few days ago and since then my monitors screens do not power down as per the Windows power saving settings. The BOINC screen saver kicks in normally and runs the Einstein@home screen saver but after 30mins the monitor is still powered up showing the screen saver. Does BOINC 6.12.26 alter or override the Windows power saving settings in any way or does anybody know a solution? Thank you |

Blank Screensaver at 1hr Set that one to 30 (minutes) and if you don't mind, increase your screen turn off time by a minute. |

Thanks, I have adjusted the Blank to 30mins but I can not adjust the screen turn off from 30 to 31mins as the Win7 options just present with fixed amounts so I have gone with the next higher increment above 30mins which is 45mins. I leave it for a while now while I watch some TV and see if these work. |
