I've just set up a new system, running under Windows 7. I installed a new ATI Radeon 5700 which Windows says is running fine. Then I installed the current version of BOINC (6.10.58)and went to attach to Collatz and Primegrid. In the list of projects within BOINC both projects showed the ATI graphic, both projects attached, and both downloaded 1 work unit. Both aborted the wu with 'computation error'. I shut down my system, rebooted and now, when BOINC starts up it simply says 'No usable GPUs found'. ATI Catalyst says the card is fine, as does Windows - so can anyone tell me what the problem is please? |

You said you installed the ATI card and then you did what? You let Windows install the drivers for it, or did you go to the ATI site and download the latest Catalysts from them, to install those? And when you installed BOINC, did the ATI show up the first time around? You can still check that in the stdoutdae.txt file in the BOINC Data directory in C:\ProgramData\BOINC\ |
