even when all users are logged off the computer and it's in the "select user" screen? Windows Vista.. Mods..feel free to move this if it's in the wrong location.. |

That depends on the type of installation you used. When you used the service installation (in the installer, 3rd screen in you clicked Advanced and checked the "Protected application execution" box), then BOINC runs even when no one is logged in. When you installed in the public mode, as soon as anyone logs off and you're at the login screen, BOINC stops running. Do know that you cannot install BOINC as a service when you use a GPU (Nvidia/ATI) for calculations, as due to the sandboxing nature of Windows Vista (and 7), the videocard driver will be installed in a level where BOINC is unable to use it, and as such it's unable to detect any GPUs. This can only be fixed by the videocard manufacturers and Microsoft, not by BOINC. |

Thanks, I knew if you installed that way in older windows versions it would, but wasn't sure on the newer ones.. |
