I loved the participation. Until I downloaded the "updated version". Now all I get is a Microsoft visual C++ runtime error. Boinc requested shutdown in an unusual manner. Please contact software provider for more information. Bullcookies! Obviously Boinc doesn't care enough to provide actual support or even a link to send a bug report. I would use the one in the Boinc manager but since I can't connect it is USELESS. So much work done. so little transferred. Therefore I am forced to remove the buggy crappy software. Perhaps from time to time I'll check back to see if they got it right. In the meantime if anyone has a fix for this nonsense please send an e-mail [email protected] Thanks |

Register to the Boinc Developers list and report it there. Also tell which project you are seeing this error in, as it's usually in the science application, not in Boinc itself. You can also report it in BoincZilla. |

Might want to look at this Microsoft site... http://support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?qu=Microsoft+visual+C%2B%2B+runtime+error Thanks for the info. Still having a problem. Could not find a solution there but I did report it through Boinczilla. I hope I can get a resolution. I've been trying for hours. |

Register to the Boinc Developers list and report it there. Thanks friend. Have reported this through BoincZilla. This occurs either on startup or when it switches between projects. I've tried deleting and re-installing, re starting the computer etc but to no avail. I miss my screensavers but I really miss my meager contribution to the sciences. Have a great one> |

Which projects are you attached to? If more than 2 projects, does Boinc only do this when switching between two specific science applications, or all of them? Are you leaving the applications in memory or not? |

Which projects are you attached to? Am attached to Rosetta,SETI,Einstein, and Predictor. It seems to happen at random no specific one. I'll just look up to find my little visualc++ error. Now it won't work at all. If I try to launch it just hangs up and C++ runtime error appears. |
