My C: Drive is rather limited in size, I only gave the partition enough space for booting windows, I have all other programs install and run from a different partition. When I installed Boinc I continued to get warnings about low disk space, I looked all over for the preference or option to change which disk Boinc operates from but I could not locate such a feature. How can I tell Boinc to work from a different drive? This was causing many pop-ups about not only low disk space but also creating errors in applications like firefox which still used C: as it's cache drive. Thank you. *edit* I have temporarily uninstalled Boinc until this matter can be resolved. |

Simply install Boinc or at least Boinc data to the larger partition. Just locate the Boinc data folder (the uninstaller doesn't delete it) and move it to the larger partition. The installer has an advanced button (on the third screen, I think) that takes you to a screen to change the default locations. Just tell Boinc the new location of the data folder. Thank you, I have re-installed but this time I installed the 64bit version, and used my larger drive. :) |
