Can anyone tell me what to do about the following two messages that constantly come on when I try to connect from BOINC to Seti or Climate control for updates:

"the file may not be supported by AOL.AOL will try to open it as a text file if you choose to continue".

AND

This file is to large to open using AOL. Please open this file with another application".

I getting very frustrated, I had been supplying to the old Seti classic for a few years, but since this BOINC installation have not been able to do any other work since.

I have tried un-installing, and re-installing BOINC. I have not been able to get any information from AOL, they just referred me to BOINC.

AOL are a law unto themselves. Try using a non AOL browser, such as IE, or an earlier version of Netscape. My netscape version is 7.1, and it works fine. I'm using it now.
