Hi. I've seen this message a lot lately, for different projects. I sometimes see the project going back to 0% progress (start all over), other times it just continues as normal... Should I worry about this? Eventually, the task finishes normally, but I'm worried about the double-work and cpu time wasted...! Regards, Leo |

See this FAQ for some things you can do about it. And good luck, it's the most common thing people run into and one of the most difficult to fix. |

Maybe this problem is caused when I turn off my laptop. The "shutdown" signal frmo windows arrives to Boinc but Boinc takes too much time to finish all running tasks, so when the shutdown arrives, boinc hasn't finished, and it's killed (speaking in unix terms)... I've been trying suspending all network/tasks just before shutdown, in order to let boinc nicely finish all work, and then shutdown. Seems to work, although it's a PITA having to do this manually all the time... Regards, Leo |
